Hospital Construction
Temporary Hospital Closure: August 25 – September 16
Reopening Thursday, September 17
Aardvark Animal Hospital will be temporarily closed from Tuesday, August 25th - Wednesday, September 16th for major renovations that will prevent us from safely providing medical appointments and procedures. We will reopen for medical services on Thursday, September 17th.
During the closure, our team will remain available by phone, text and through the PetDesk app to answer questions, provide guidance, and assist with prescription refills and pickup.
Please Note: Our business hours will change throughout the construction process, as there may be days when our team is unable to safely access the hospital. Please check our website or Facebook page regularly for the most up-to-date hours. The PetDesk app provides a direct link to our Facebook page under the Providers tab.
It can also be accessed here: Aardvark Animal Hospital Facebook
If you are coming to the hospital for a prescription pickup or another prearranged reason, please follow the posted signs directing you to the appropriate door to meet with our team.
For everyone’s safety, clients will not be permitted inside the hospital at any time during construction due to the unsafe environment.
Need to See a Veterinarian?
We have partnered with Pet Urgent Cares of Exton to help care for our patients while we are closed. They provide walk-in care seven days a week from 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, with no appointment necessary. Examination fees are comparable to those at Aardvark Animal Hospital, and they are in The Shoppes at Eagleview Blvd in Exton.
Pet Urgent Cares can see many non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, including ear infections, UTIs, limping, vomiting or diarrhea, allergies and itching, coughing or sneezing, and pets that simply aren't feeling well. Their team will communicate with us as needed so your pet's care can smoothly transition back to Dr. Thomas when we reopen.
Medical Emergencies
Pet Urgent Cares is not an emergency hospital. For life-threatening emergencies, please go directly to BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists in Glen Mills or Metropolitan Veterinary Associates in Norristown.
When we reopen, you'll notice some exciting improvements throughout our hospital. Many additional updates are taking place behind the scenes throughout our facility to modernize our hospital infrastructure. While you may not see every change, each improvement is an investment in providing an even better experience for our patients, clients, and team for years to come. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while we make these important improvements.
We look forward to welcoming you back to our updated hospital on Thursday, September 17!
